Team W.H.I.P. is a 501c3 non profit organization, located in Lanett, Alabama, focusing on Breast Awareness. W.H.I.P is an acronym that stands for Working to Help those In Pink. W.H.I.P. was established after a breast cancer walk was organized in October, 2015. The walk began in West Point, Georgia walking into Lanett, Alabama, and returning to the John D. Hoggs Pavillion in West Point, Georgia. With almost 300 participants, it was an overwhelming response to have a walk annually and begin a local support group. In 2016, W.H.I.P. was connected with The Gene Machine of Auburn University. From this connection, a partnership was established in August, 2016. Team W.H.I.P. services Chambers and Lee Counties of Alabama; West Point of Harris and Troup Counties of Georgia. Team W.H.I.P. strives to provide support and raise breast health awareness with community outreach through programs, events, and sponsorships.
